Lake Tahoe TypeMap

If you’ve been to Tahoe… swam in its clear blue waters, then you know it’s appeal. A vast pure blue expanse of water surrounded by snow capped mountains. It is the deep blue color of the lake that inspired this map.

I knew the names of a few of the bays around the lake. Emerald Bay is the most famous and a beautiful site on it’s own. But I am still surprised to learn that not only every bay has a name but so do the points of land that separate them. So, with this map, I wanted to capture the essence of the lake as it is defined by these natural features.
